So, I did it again. :/ 5 months since my last post. I tried! I really did, but when I killed the laptop (again) it put a stop to LOTS of projects. Ah well, my dearest finally broke down and bought a little netbook, so we're connected again ... but damn, this thing takes some getting used to! I keep brushing the touch pad thingy while I'm typing and sending the cursor places I didn't want it to go. And there's NO home, end, page-up/page-down keys! How do you navigate without those?! :P
Anyway, to the "ow" of my title ... yesterday, dh, me and a good friend went on a super-cool nature walk (http://wilderness-southeast.org/tours/nativeplants.asp). Fun, but I walked my fanny off! Home for a bit, then over to said friend's house for dinner and Ostara discussion and more walkingh; got home WAY past kids' bedtime. Then today, kidlet #2 woke up SICK, but I still decide to move the chickens into the tractor and get the coop cleaned out. Holy CRAP, but there was a metric ton of hay and chicken shit in that 7'x12' pen. Good. Grief. Soooo glad hubby jumped in to shovel! Then there was the laundry fiasco (do you know what happens when you accidentally wash a pull-up?), the clothesline debacle (did I mention that the day started out sunny and gorgeous, then quickly devolved into windy/rainy), the impromptu weeding of the herb beds, and the 2-kid combat bathtime event. I have 4 loads of laundry to fold and put away, 2 sinks FULL of dirty dishes, food to put away, and I can. not. move. off. of. the. sofa. I HURT!
:D But it was a fabulous weekend! I'm so happy I got to hang out with friends yesterday, and spend so much time outside. Feels like ages we've been cooped up in this house waiting for the sun to come back. Hi, Sunna!
